Interns will focus on real-world issues,applied research, and program development experiences that bridge practices and applied research. The primary focus of the program is using evidence-based research to assist communities in making feasible and meaningful decisions.

Requirements and qualificationsInterns should: Have the ability and willingness to work with others on team projects. Have a basic understanding or interest in urban parks or food systems and nutrition. Have writing, research, and technology skills. Have the ability to engage in problem solving and work independently and as part of teams.
Contribute at least two key project specific skills such as: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher Knowledge of programming and outreach, Research interviews, transcribing, and data organization, Site analysis, site assessments, and community inventories, GIS, Google maps, Google earth, ESRI stories, Web, social media, video skills, Data collection or analysis experience, and any other relevant project skills |
